Funny, but true....
So, on the seventh deck of the ship is what is known as the fishbowl. The fishbowl is actually a very posh hangout/bar/work area for faculty and staff members and is off limits to students. It is a large, circular room and most of the walls are huge floor to ceiling windows. There are cushioned window seats all along the windows and its location on the forward of the top deck of the ship provides wonderful views! The deck is not off limits to the students so they can walk around/enjoy the view etc. However, when they do that, they can also look in the windows and see whatever is going on inside, hence, "the fishbowl."

This, and the deck around it, has become one of my favorite areas on the ship as it is a great escape from the students, which, at times, is needed. A few nights ago, about 8 of us were hanging out in there at about 00:20 someone glanced up and noticed that there were two students doing a bit more than smooching on the deck right outside the windows, completely oblivious to the fact that we were all sitting in there and had a clear view. A few minutes later when they looked up we all started whooping and clapping for them. They were embarrassed but just waved and headed elsewhere. awwww..... young love on the open seas.

Kate,

I am glad I got a chance to read today. It sounds like you are having a ton of fun! I feel like sending you pics of the view from my office (oh, wait I look out to a hallway). Heine and I went to the US Open in NYC last weekend. It was a major blast. I am even a tennis fan now! Great to hear all is well! Take it all in.

That is hilarious! They are so cute and so stupid (as we all have been at times in our lives). :)
